Recent Work

My most recent work is the investigation of how to transform 2D images into 3D sculptures while maintaining the integrity of the original fractal image.  I began by printing on watercolor paper, soaking it in water and then folding it into an amorphic shape that hardens when it dries. From there I began experimenting with printing on 1/8″ plexiglass and then heat molding the piece by hand. When the final shape worked for me I’d let it cool into a very sturdy sculpture.
